Today, this very day, this very moment, are you discouraged? Are you ready to give up on whatever you are pursuing even though you know it has been God directed? I’m here to tell you to keep going. Your loss of confidence is not from God.

That means there is only one other place it comes from. When you are working towards whatever God has for you, the evil one starts working even harder to put roadblocks in your way.

When we’ve already accepted Christ as our Savior, we know we are going to heaven when we die. The evil one knows he can’t stand in the way of that happening. However, he can detour us from fulfilling the purpose God has for us here on this earth if we allow him to.

Deprived of Spirit

One definition of discouraged is dispirited. This means to deprive of morale, enthusiasm or spirit. It is very similar to disheartened, which is a word used to describe Jesus and his dedication to the work He came to earth to complete.

“He will not be disheartened or crushed in spirit; He will persevere until He has established justice on the earth,” Isaiah 42:4 AMP.

There has been no other person who could have been discouraged, disheartened or dispirited that Jesus. He had opposition and ungrateful people everywhere He went. Yet He kept going until His part of the job was done and He could say, “It is finished,” John 19:30 KJV.

His Peace Is the Answer

He knows that we sometimes feel dispirited. That’s why He assured us that when He left the earth He would send us Himself in the form of the Holy Spirit in order to remind us of everything Jesus has said to us. This means we are never without His Spirit and so we should never be dispirited if we are leaning on Him.

His next statement tells us having His Spirit in us is important. “I leave the gift of peace with you—My peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but My perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous,” (John 14:27 TPT).

Discouragement comes from not having peace about our situation, no matter what it is. The evil one will come against us when we are following God. Be assured of that, but be more assured that it is a sign you are headed in the right direction.

All we have to do is keep hanging on to Jesus and following where He leads us. We will have peace that passes understanding, (Phil 4:7 KJV). His peace says, “No matter what the circumstance looks or feels like, just keep following Me.” We dissolve discouragement with peace.

Where Discouragement Comes From

The last few days, I was close to being disheartened. It happens for various reasons to us all. For me it was a physical thing, a molar that’s cause not only tooth pain but headaches as well. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow but that didn’t help the last few days and I’ve had a lot to get done.

It’s times like these, and others that are even more major, that in the past would have caused me to run to food for a pick-me-up, a break from the pain and the difficulties.

Long ago, I settled the fact that eating food when I’m not physically hungry will not help. The only thing that helps is to rest on and trust in God to help me do only what needs to be done in this moment.

This journey to transformation from extreme weight, my journey, is a commitment I made to God. It is a covenant between me and God. I keep it because I know He has a purpose and a destiny for me. I can never again let anything throw me off the path God has for me.

Building An Unshakeable Foundation

For years, I built my life’s foundation on being able to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it. That’s building on sinking sand. (Matthew 7:26-27). After allowing God to lead me to lose more than 250 pounds, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt my foundation must be built on Him because that foundation is solid and unshakeable.

This and more is what I teach. I have a free group and a free course, but Overcomers Christian Weight Loss Community is the only place where I provide specific teaching and coaching designed to lead you on this journey. I provide answers, encouragement, inspiration and challenge you to always follow the design God has for you.

If you really want to overcome emotional eating, food addiction, sugar addiction, binge eating and the other ways of dealing with life, I encourage you to join Overcomers Community now.

Those Who Invest Reap Rewards

I want to remind you that this group will cost you something. It will cost your time, your effort and your commitment. The monetary cost is minimal, around $1.56 per day, less than the cost of going through fast food even once a week. I’ve learned those who invest nothing, gain nothing. But those who do invest, reap bountiful rewards.

Just this last month, the group lost a total of 132 lbs. They are doing incredible things. Join us and  give yourself the gift of transformation. Are you worth less than $2 a day? God thinks you are worth more than rubies and so do I.

I encourage you to join now. Doors close on Thursday, Oct. 18 at midnight. Join HERE.

Remember, I’ve been where you are and probably beyond. Let me help you. Hurry and join us before the doors close. Go Here:

I’ll see you in the community!
