It seemed that she walked alone
Her face set to her cause like stone
But appearances can be deceiving
Because she was believing
That by her side were all the heavenly hosts
And God Almighty who, after all, matters the most.
To a foreign land she was going
And her face certainly was glowing
God had ordered each one of her steps
Each of His commands she had kept
Listening and watching for His signs along the way
To lead her every single day.
Some would ask, “But aren’t you afraid to go
Where so many our God do not know?”
And she would say with conviction in her voice,
“It’s God’s will, but I do have a choice.
Yet to turn my back on His desire
Would be to worse than being burned by fire.
So, I will go if I have to swim the sea.
I will go so others may become free.
I will go because He gave me a dream
Of a field of grain like a golden stream
As far as the eye could see
Grain ready for harvest to be.
A storm threatened the crop.
Laborers were working ready to drop.
But there were not enough to gather it in
Before the clouds released their din.
Who will bring more laborers here?”
God said to her, “You must, My dear.
Go and train more workers today
So that the harvest may not delay.
In many different lands both large and small
Workers are heeding My call
But they need someone to help them see
They need someone in whom I believe.
I believe in you and I’ve given you a task
Now go and never again ask,
‘What shall I do or where shall I go?’
For each step of the way I will clearly show.
You are My child, My chosen one
The one through whom this work must be done.
It will be hard, but in it you will find joy.
Heat and bugs and stench may annoy
But, I am your God, your Husband, your Guide
I will always, always be by your side.
To give you companionship, love and care
A helpmate I bring in your life to share.
All know you both have the determination
To follow Me no matter the destination.
Stay close to My side as always you both do
And you will see things reserved for only a few.
Together will help countless numbers come to Me
And from darkness they will be set completely free.”
