Today, I’m sharing with you a page from my journal. I don’t think I’ve ever done this before, but I felt like this was a direct answer to the question I began with in my time with God today.

He downloaded to me in a quick and succinct fashion. I’m sharing verbatim what I felt He said. Know that I am fallible and He is not, so any mistakes are mine and not His. I noted the places I knew were scripture and yet, I know there are many more.

Surrealistic sunset seascapeThat is always one way I know God is speaking to me when what I hear coordinates with the scriptures many of which I have read, but not even recently. God speaks in a coordinated whole, always.

Lord, before anything else I want You and You alone. How do I communicate that if people do not make You their number 1 they fail in a major way more than just weight gain, but in life and its foreverness?

Grace for Salvation

Tell them I am.1 I am the one who made them and knows all about them. I know their weaknesses and their tendencies. I fashioned grace so they don’t have to rely on things that seem close and at hand. Those things are but substitutes for Me. They may seem like tremendous substitutes, but they don’t hold a candle to Me and My grace.

See, grace wasn’t a thought or invention of mine. Grace is who I am. Women need to understand that my justice is grace, just as my forgiveness is grace. For without a means to judge a person, then grace is not needed. Those who are far away from Me and miss the mark, as every person has, deserves punishment.2 That’s justice. The remedy for that is grace through the Person of Jesus. He is grace personified because He and I are One.

You, my creation, make grace so difficult and yet, it is so simple. Because sin entered the world, the human condition requires sacrifice. Jesus is and was that sacrifice.3 No one, no matter how good, can keep every law in the book. It’s not possible. Break one law and you are guilty of breaking them all. And everyone has broken at least one law. Who among you has never lied? There isn’t one of you, I know. I see everything.

Grace for Living

That’s another thing, you think I don’t see you eating things that are harmful for you. It makes me extremely sad because you are damaging you body, the temple where I live4 if you have accepted Jesus’ sacrifice. I have great and awesome plans for you. You do have a future. Disaster for your life is not My plan.5 But when you damage your bodies there will be disastrous results.

I do heal. I do restore. However, what good does it do Me to heal and restore you if you don’t follow the principles of taking care of yourself? If you are running to earthly things to comfort and sustain you rather than to Me, you are not following all that I have for you. I want you to be in good health. I want you to be healthy in body, soul and spirit.6

There are reasons why I say You should worship Me and Me only should you serve.7 Nothing else. I don’t care what it is. It may a really good thing, oh, like church or chocolate pie, but if you are worshipping them by putting them first instead of Me, you are in disobedience!

Grace for Worship

Dear Children, I love you with an everlasting love. I am drawing you to myself with arms of grace, strength and love. Come to me. Rely on Me. Do You think My arm is too short8 to draw you close and embrace you in the light of My presence?

Have you ever really felt my presence in a real and tangible way? Ask for Me to come and I will. I will come and I will touch. I will heal. I will restore the years9 that you have allowed and cooperated with the enemy to destroy.

Grace for Failure

Give Me all your shame, all your regret, all your guilt. You do not have to carry it any more. I will take it if you will release it. Give it to me right now. And then ask Me, “What do You give me in return?”

I will give you good gifts that will be far and above anything you have ever in your wildest imagination dreamed. I will promote you. I will fight for you. I will be your God10 in a way you have never seen before.

For you who are burdened with the cares of this world so much that you cannot see your hand in front of your face, I ask that you look up. Yes, I am the lifter of your head,11 but right now you must activate and look full into my eyes of love.

You have to make a move. Until you do, you effectively tie my hands, but when you move, repent and fall before Me, I am released to run to you.

Grace for Restoration

The prodigal son’s father did not try to go find him. It would have been a fruitless effort. He allowed him to come to the end of his resources.

Only then did the son make the decision to turn from what he was doing and return home. When the father saw him, He ran to him and welcomed him with a hug bigger than any he’d ever given.12

In that moment, restoration, healing and release to finally begin living started. Right then. In that moment when the son, by returning home, admitted his failures and wrongs and the father, by His solid welcome, extended the magnanimous grace of heaven.

What does God require of you today? Lift your head. Look full in His face and ask. He’s waiting for you.
