My life has been molded by rhythms of grace.
Signs and wonders and miracles aside,
I am sustained by a divine interface
Unfathomably knowing in me He resides.
My sentence changed from death to life
By just hearing the rhythm He provides.
Even in the midst of monumental strife
Though the planets and sun and moon collide
I am upheld by a rhythm that plays on.
No matter what happens, He is on my side.
Forever separation from Him is gone.
Forever with God is now written in my tide.
Astounding, overwhelming, amazing grace
That overplays all that Satan has tried.
I will not let him take me out of the race
Though he tries to play his music far and wide.
My rhythm is molded by God’s grace.
Though guilt and shame seem to rage,
His touch brings me back to the solid base
And His rhythm is written on my empty page.
I turn off the accuser’s irratating rant
And listen to divine rhythm, a song of love
From the One who does not listen to can’t
And sings my name in rhythm with His above.
The sculptor saw in marble, an angel
And carved until he sat her free.
You are like one encased a stone cell
Freedom your destiny was meant to be.
Allow God to chisel away what isn’t you.
It only gets in the way of abundance and grace.
It takes you away from all songs new
And soon you are left without a trace.
But God has desire for good and not bad.
Disaster is not in His perfect plan
He wants to give you hope; He’s not mad.
He wants the best for every woman and man.
We set up our own disaster; it’s not of Him.
Still, He continues to let us choose.
Out of love beckons us back, though our song is dim.
He wants us to sing strong, not to lose.
He doesn’t legislate our love.
He asks only that we choose Him alone.
The stars, moon and angels above
Wait quietly while our choice we make known.
In choosing Him, we choose our legacy.
We admit our weakness; live in His power.
We write freedom’s song into our history.
It will be, no doubt, our finest hour.
Show the world what He’s done in you.
Shine your light for all to see.
Let others see your life made new
Throwing aside pain to live and be.
Out of your greatest heartache and pain
Comes your greatest way to share.
As you are honest and transparent remain
Others are drawn into your care.
God gives us a choice of how we sing
And still covers us whiling away His grace
Until we turn back to Him and let our life ring
Fully surrendered as we run this race.
He becomes the wind at our back
As we long to look full in His perfect face.
No longer carrying a heavy burdensome pack
We are forever molded by rhythms of grace.
